Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team who brings that unique balance of marketing creativity, passion, product evangelism, and operational precision.   As our EMEA Director of Marketing, you will drive top-line growth for Panopto through generating new leads and growing brand awareness.  This requires the ability to generate a large amount of marketing output at both the strategic and tactical levels.  We need someone who can juggle multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across geographies and get the most out of every marketing investment, be that spend or effort.

This position is for a strategic thinker with a bias for action.  You will:

  • Develop and own the EMEA marketing plan with a clear strategy that aligns to global objectives, a realistic resourcing approach and ambitious yet achievable goals for lead generation.
  • Execute on the marketing plan - using our website (including localized microsites), webinars, email and ad campaigns, trade shows, and other tactics to maximize high quality qualified sales leads
  • Report progress toward qualified lead goals in a weekly scrum and monthly business review meetings, adjusting tactics throughout the year as necessary to meet our objectives
  • Coordinate with the global marketing team to ensure brand consistency and to optimize the team's resources (i.e. high reuse of existing assets, no unnecessary duplication of effort)
  • Manage a high performing "top of funnel" team (currently one marketer and two sales development reps) with strengths in lean startup principles and inbound marketing
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, delivering on goals at or under budget
  • Understand industry developments, evolving competitive threats, and marketing trends to inform future marketing strategy

You’re not starting from scratch in this role and there is a huge amount of potential.  As the leader for the Marketing function in EMEA, we need you to have:

  • Proven experience delivering on qualified lead goals, monitoring weekly and monthly progress, and adjusting tactics as needed to meet goals.
  • Experience in developing and executing an annual marketing strategy across multiple European markets
  • A deep understanding of inbound marketing (website content development, SEO and related tools, SEM including Google Adwords)
  • Experience in using Salesforce and Marketo for lead management, reporting, and email campaigns
  • Strong presentation and writing skills
  • Experience in managing trade shows and 1st-party events
  • A strong track record of delivering on goals at or below budgeted spend
